The End is Here

For my memoir project the six words I decided to choose are "only dangerous when something goes wrong."  As a last remembrance of of my time in high school I am going to tell everyone my biggest secret, I drive a race car and just plain like doing dangerous things.  I know it's a big shocker to everyone but it's the truth.  Anytime I can put my life on the line for an adrenaline rush I have no problem doing it.  In fact for my 18th birthday I got to fly in an acrobatic glider pulling g's and doing various flips.  I've had crashes that most shouldn't walk away from yet the very next day I'm back in a car ready to race and go as fast as possible.  I don't know why I like to do what I do, but all I know is I cant get enough of it.  I believe if you live life in safety, you aren't really living life at all.

  1. wow Brent thats crazy, I never knew you've crashed before..im glad nothing serious ever happened to you and hopefully nothing ever will, but i agree with everything you said. Life is boring with out risks, its too plain without excitement, we can't live in safety forever!

  2. Thats just scary. I can't imagine doing that stuff I'm pretty sure that I would just give up if I got into a huge crash or something. I feel that you're right though and that i should take more risks and enjoy myself more.

  3. I can completely relate with this Brent! People think equestrian sports are dangerous because horses are nervous animals and because they have heard of accidents like Superman's. The truth is, whenever there are accidents, most of the time it is actually the rider's fault. Horseback riding is a risky sport, like car racing for you but I am sure that you, like me, agree that they are worth it. I absolutely love riding and don't know what I would do without it. However, there are people in this world who are not risk takers and are perfectly happy with their lives. I guess we don't fit in that group haha! -Dorothy Z.

  4. Very well said Brent! You are definitely very brave and a hard core dare devil. However, our passions drive us to do some pretty crazy things. I can totally relate to dangerous experiences I have put myself into just for the adrenaline rush and to feel satisfied and confident afterward. Not every decision I have made has best the smartest or safest, but I can say I love to challenge myself and it's always nice to add an extreme element of danger.
