Here's something I'd thought I do for fun. This song, titled The Wish to Not Vanish, has 'literary merit' to me. That is, this song positively impacted me as a person based on how I interpreted the lyrics (and listen to its melody). It's in Japanese, but I've provided a translation. Use the romanji (English pronounciation of Japanese words) as a guide to keep track when listening to the song.

I like how you strived to analyze a song in a language that's not English! Sometimes, I feel that in the US, we can be a bit isolated from the world and believe that English is the be all end all of languages. I think the world I was looking for is "Eurocentric"? There is definitely literary merit in works that are not English or even European.

i liked how you looked at the song in a different view. no one really understands t that there may be different meanings and feelings by seeing things through different languages. this is impressive.
